The Challenge
Writing the cover for Advnt’s Integrated Campaigns issue felt like sitting at the blackjack table with the lights low and the stakes high. Every word had to carry tension and style, like sliding chips across the felt and hoping the next card flipped in your favor.
I teamed up with the Director of Copywriting, turning late-night drafts into strategy sessions that felt more like reading the table than writing copy. Research became my deck of cards. I stacked references, casino lingo, and bold imagery until the language dealt out exactly the mood we needed.
The best part? Advnt opens the table to anyone. Students can submit their own work, put their creative bets down, and see their ideas land in front of real agencies. It’s a shot at the jackpot of recognition, and for this cover, I played to win.
